Kelly Moe is an American artist, producer, singer-songwriter & philanthropist. Moe is an adoptee and a biracial member of the LGBTQ community leading to his diverse, multicultural background. “Impermanence” is the first independently-released single by Portland, OR-based DJ and producer silversound.
Nineties house piano, dubby synth stabs, and a bubbling bassline ride a swishy 909 beat, accented by giddy snare rolls and a snarling Reese bass. The title, inspired by the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and Pema Chödrön, honors the acceptance of impermanence as a fact of life, and the gratitude for life’s preciousness that arises from that acceptance. Hi everyone, I've been working on new original music and remixes for a long time, and I'm proud to say that my first completely independent project is coming to fruition. My new single is called "Impermanence" and I am releasing it myself on November 3. Stay tuned for future updates on this release as well as an upcoming remix for Portland-based recording artist Kelly Moe.
In the meantime, I've been diligently working to create an inviting and exciting soundscape for two great Portland queer venues, the Eagle and Back 2 Earth. It brings me a lot of joy to improve the sound in two spaces that I really love, and that create needed gathering space for Portland's queer communities.
